Bad beekeeping, Summer 2025

N+N said my bees appeared to be "busy", so it was perhaps time to finally return them at least one super; and after all, I had it ready. And so I drove out, chatted, and put on the new super. 

There is the new super, emplaced, see how clean and tidy everything is. That is because I had finally dealt with years of mess, and admitted that it needed melting down. In late May I'd taken three supers off and brought them home, fortunately while M was away, since it didn't matter if the kitchen was full of hive stuff for weeks on end. Still, it got me quite a lot of honey, some of which went into jars but most went into old yoghurt tubs. 

Also, since I didn't take any honey off in 2024, there are no posts for 2024.
